Dying, but still prepping for Episode #10

As much as we really want to release an episode every week, we have reached episode #10, our first milestone. We have survived this far, and we are super excited to be here at this moment of our young podcast career. We want to do something different for this episode, so we will be having some guests over at The Beer Metal Media House. Well, we all had to pick a date that we could all be there together, and we have decided that Sunday, June 10th. This panel of Craft Beer experts that will be joining us will include some of the most vocal people we all know and love here in San Antonio.

This should be a very fun and opinionated episode. Can not wait to record this! In the mean time, I wanted to at least drink some beer and do written out reviews for the site, but I have been dying down here with my allergies acting up to all Hell. You know, I’m a man, so I’ve been man-sick, so obviously I am dying. All I know is, I have to get better before the 10th.

Problems with E-Mail followers or just really popular

So recently here on BeerMetal.net, I have been getting a shit ton of notifications about new email followers tot he site. At first, all I was thinking was “Fuck yeah! People like me!” Then it started getting worse, and I noticed that all of them are weird as fuck jumbled letters and numbers @outlook.com emails. I’m wondering if WordPress here has a virus or big or some shit. If it keeps going on a few more days, I will remove the feature and create an Email follow thing on an outside website like MailChimp or something.

Exactly one year ago today, BeerMetalDude.com officially went online. A lot of learning happened over this past year. If you go back and read any of the old beer reviews, and compare them to any of the newest reviews, you can definitely see an increase in my skills to reviewing beers. Even the format of the review has changed.

My taste has even changed. I look back at some of the beer I drank a year ago, and compare them now. Damn, things I thought I “loved” back then aren’t really that good after all. Same goes the other way, as I have given a low score to beers I now generally enjoy drinking. My palate has opened up a lot over the past year, and my ability to find more of the aroma/taste of a beer has increased over time. It’s just like with Metal, over time I have grown to appreciate and like more styles of Metal, and not be so tunnel visioned when making my choices to like or hate a band. I follow the same with beer, I have opened up to so many styles that I once said I never liked, or wouldn’t try.

I want to thank you all for visiting my site and reading my reviews, and taking what I have written to help you gain knowledge about each beer and/or band that I feature here on the site. Raise your glass… Cheers! Here is to another year of providing you with Metal related beer reviews and more! I have a vision for this site, and I do plan on adding a few more features here.

Thank you,
