Welcome to episode 19, which is entitled Street Drinker. On this episode, Aaron The BeerMetalDude sits down with Joaquin Pena, the Co-Owner/Brewmaster of the newest San Antonio, TX brewery, Islla St. Brewing Company. We sat down within their tap room during business hours, so expect to hear some interesting music in the background. During the interview we discuss their beginning stages, all the way to their future plans, and a whole bunch of other shit including music, and so much more. Listen in, and get familiar with Islla St. Brewing Company.
We’re back, mother fuckers! Yes, we are still alive and kicking. Welcome to episode 17, Beerfest in the Deep. On this episode, we were at the San Antonio Beer Festival, which took place on Saturday, October 20th, 2018. We walked around with our handheld digital recorder and spoke to some of the industry people who were there at the festival. Originally, this was going to be a 3-4 part episode, but we did not get to talk to everybody as originally planned, and after the edits were made, I was able to put together this less than an hour long episode. After adding the Metal music, it pushed the episode to over an hour long. We really hope you enjoy this episode, as much as we enjoyed recording it.
Welcome to episode #15, entitled Beer Will Not be Dead. I am your host, The Beer Metal Dude, and I had to record this episode solo, as my normal co-host, my partner, my wife, The Craft Brewja was out sick during the recording time of this show. I hope you all enjoy the episode, and stick through to the end, as I drink and dissect 4 different Craft Beers, while pairing them each with a perfect Metal song.
Join us for episode 14, as we entered an old church building turned brewery, and listen to us chat with Bobby Harl, Owner/Brewmaster of the Porter, TX brewery, Back Pew Brewing. This was our very first brewery interview for our podcast. We think it went very well, and we look forward to doing a lot more of these throughout our podcast career.
About 2 weeks ago we took the show on the road again. We went to Houston, TX and did a few brewery visits while there. We started out at 8th Wonder Brewery, then hopped across the street to the newly opened 8th Wonder Distillery. After we left that area, we went to Town in City Brewing Company, then closed out our day at Great Heights Brewing Company. We went on a Sunday, so we needed to be picky about where we went due to hours and limitations.
