ABOUT

IMG_1332BeerMetal.net was created by me, Aaron “The BeerMetalDude” Mendiola in early 2013. This website started off as a blog which featured Craft Beer Reviews, and posts about the breweries I would visit in my travels. After over 350 posts, I decided to upgrade my work to a podcast.

The Beer Metal Show came to life in late 2017. The early shows were very raw and  not that pleasing to listen to. Hey, I’m just being honest here. Ha ha! With some upgraded equipment, and the loss of my co-host, The Beer Metal Show has become an online radio show with some Craft Beer drinking and dissecting in between songs. Of course, I kept the Metal Connection, which is a pairing of a Metal song to the beer which I am reviewing. On occasion, especially before the pandemic, I would visit a local brewery to interview the owners or brewers, as well as attending Metal shows and interviewing band members. One day I do hope to get back into doing more interviews, but for now the show is focusing on just the Craft Beer reviews with the Metal Connection. Each episode has a featured band to which I dive into their history and play music from each of that band’s full length albums from throughout their career to date. I also decided to focus mostly on Texas Craft Beer, and move the reviews of my cellared beers over to their own show.

In early 2020, It Came from the Cellar Podcast was created. These are mini episodes featuring one beer review with it’s Metal Connection, and now I have decided to also include Horror Movie reviews as well on this series.

I want to thank all of you for checking out my website and giving my podcast a listen.
